If you’re following the schedule, you should read these chapters today: Genesis 38, Mark 8, Job 4, Romans 8. Click on any of those references to see all the passages in one long page on BibleGateway. If you can’t do all the readings today, read Romans 8.
Unlike Romans 7, there is no debate about Romans 8. It refers unambiguously to believers in Christ and began triumphantly and comfortingly with the words: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (v. 1). The chapter then contrasted life in the “flesh” (our sin nature) and life in the Spirit. In verse 16, Paul wrote: “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” How have you experienced this in your life? Share in the comments below or on our Facebook page.
